Rugsėjo 25 dieną Slovakijoje vyko Rytų Europos komandinis galiūnų čempionatas. Lietuvos komandą atstovavo šakietis Audrius Jokūbaitis ir alytiškis Modestas Struckus. Mūsų sportininkai pasirodė puikiai – surinkę 34 taškus jie užtikrintai iškovojo pirmąją vietą.

Sportininkai varžėsi penkiose rungtyse: vilkiko tempime, viking press rungtyje, automobilio traukime, nasčių ir rentinio nešime bei akmenų kėlime. Lietuvos atstovai buvo stipriausi daugelyje rungčių ir surinko daugiausia pirmųjų vietų.
